Armonia is an international journal promoting harmony and tolerance.
The Ma’din Academy here has brought out an international journal promoting harmony and tolerance among religions and communities across the globe.
Edited by Robert Dickson Crane, American author and former advisor to late U.S. President Richard Nixon, the journal named Armonia marked the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Ma’din Academy.
The vision or purpose of this journal is to help bring together the best of all civilizations and religions in order to apply their common wisdom in promoting the harmonious pursuit of peace, prosperity, and freedom for all persons and communities through compassionate justice.
United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister for Tolerance Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan released the journal at a function held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Sunday.
Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies president Sheikh Abdullah bin Mahfudh ibn Bayyah, Ma’din Chairman Sayyid Ibraheemul Khaleel Bukhari, and Armonia editor-in-chief Robert Dickson Crane were present.
Mr. Sayyid Bukhari said that Armonia would serve as a solid platform to promote peace, understanding and harmony between religions and communities across the world. The editorial office of Armonia will be in Virginia, U.S.A.
A 25-member editorial team headed by Dr. Crane will decide the content of the journal which will be published thrice a year. An Armonia symposium held last week at Ma’din Academy here marked the beginning of the editorial work.
