On January 20, Ma’din Academy proudly launched a captivating calligraphy exhibition in Malappuram. The event, spanning two days, was inaugurated by international calligrapher Mukhtar Ahmed and Malayalam calligraphy luminary Narayana Bhattathiri. Presiding over the function was Sayyid Ibrahimul Khaleel Al Bukhari, the esteemed chairman of Madin Academy.

The exhibition showcases the masterpieces of distinguished calligraphers hailing from countries such as Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, India, Iran, Iraq, Indonesia, and Egypt.

Emphasizing the Academy’s commitment to promoting calligraphy as an art form in the state, Sayyid Bukhari expressed his pleasure in hosting this remarkable exhibition. Various calligraphic variants, including Sulus, Diwani, Ruqqa, Persian, and Sunbuli, have piqued the interest of language enthusiasts. The exhibition is scheduled to conclude on Sunday evening.

The event featured addresses by writer Iftikar Ahmed Shareef from Delhi, along with calligraphers Ameerul Islam from Hyderabad, Abdulla Faizal from Bengaluru, Abdul Sattar from Hyderabad, Madin Calligraphy Department Director Anfas Wandoor, Madin Academy Manager Dulfuqar Ali Saqafi, Academic Director Noufal Kodur, and Junaid Adani.

Sayyid Bukhari is set to inaugurate the Madin Calligraphy and Art Centre on Sunday morning, further emphasizing Ma’din Academy’s dedication to fostering and celebrating the rich art of calligraphy.
