Ma’din wins state award for empowering differently-abled people
Ma’din Academy has won the award for ‘best centre in promoting empowerment of persons with disabilities’ in the state for the year 2019.

The award has been handed over by the Chief Minister of Kerala in a function at Jimmy George Indoor Stadium. The Award Committee said that the award is in recognition of the innovative projects implemented by the centre for the welfare of the differently-abled.
The major activities of the centre
The major activities of the centre are: conduct of customized academic courses; production of adapted resource materials; training and sensitization of teachers in Inclusive Pedagogy; ICT enabled Assistive Technology Instruction; Vocational Rehabilitation; Skill Based Training and Placement; Braille, sign language training; Guidance and Counselling for students with special needs and their parents. These disability-specific training and assistance educates and empowers the differently Abled students to become self-reliant and productive human resource.
The award was recieved by Saidalavi Sa’di Peringav, general manager of Ma’din Academy. K. K. Shailaja, Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Kerala state, Prof. C. Raveendranath, Minister for Education of the Government of Kerala, VS Shivakumar, member of legislative assembly of Kerala were present in the function. A Moideen Kutti, Administrator for Ma’din Special School, Abdul Wahab Eranjimav, cordinator of the institute represented Ma’din Academy in the event.
