Malappuram: Contrary to the popular belief, the majority and minority communities in our society are not at loggerheads, but they exist in mutual cooperation, stated renowned historian and academician Dr. M.G.S Narayanan. He was speaking at the inaugural session of IAME state kalotsavam, being hosted at Ma’din Academy.
He added that the community which is in majority in a society, should strive to strengthen and empower the minority community. Meanwhile, the minority should exist in harmony, mutual respect and peace with the majority community. He pointed out the importance given to virtues and morality in both ancient as well as modern education systems.
Ma’din chairman Sayyid Ibrahim-ul-khaleelulBukhari convened the ceremony which was inaugurated by S.Y.S State President Ponmala Abdul QuadirMusliyar. Academicians and experts from all walks of the society, like C.Muhammed Faisi, K.P Ramanunni, Kombam K.P Muhammed Musliyar, Prof. A.K Abdul hameed Sahib, Abbas Panakkal, O.M Tharuvanna, SainuddeenNisamiKunnamangalam, V.M Koya Master, UbaidSaqqafi graced the occasion with their presence.
The ceremony also honoured various achievers like C.B.S.E Best Mentor award winner K.M Abdul Rasheed, T.K Unnikrishnan, National Teachers Award winner NiyasChola, Malappuram Municipal Councilor MusliyarSajeer etc. The ‘IAME best program coordinator Award’ was presented to Abdul RahimanP.C ,while the ‘Dedicated Service Award’ was bagged jointly by P.Unni Poker Master &Moideen Master Poonur. The Arts & Sports Award was presented to K.AbdulRahmanChemmankadavu.
Prof. K. Koyatti Master (Executive Director, IAME) shared his welcome speech and K.K Shameem (Administrator, IAME) presented the Vote of Thanks for the function.
